Tour packages in India don't have to be expensive. For example, travelers can visit the strikingly beautiful and unspoiled Leh Ladakh region of the country with package tours that help them navigate this realm of desert and mountains. Ladakh is a great choice for those who love the mountain environment, as it offers some of the most amazing views on earth from its towering peaks.
One of the cheapest package tours to Ladakh is a 4 day tour starting at Rs. 8,452. This tour begins in the city of Leh, and features an afternoon visit to Leh market, the Shanti Stupa, the Leh Palace and the Hall of Fame. Day two is a full itinerary of monastery visits. Guests will be driven to visit the Thiksey, Shey Palace and Hemis monasteries, as well as the Stok Palace Museum. They will return to Leh in the evening and stay overnight at a hotel.

A growing number of airlines are offering package tours in India as the attempt to cash in on the summer travel boom. Both Indian airlines and international carriers are getting in on the act by offering hotel bookings, tours and local conveyance to overseas and domestic travelers.
The airlines see these value-added services as a way to increase their revenues during the peak travel season, and the package deals benefit all the parties involved. For example, Air India recently revealed that about 20% of its bookings for the holiday season are made through package services. The airlines are targeting their package tours to both leisure and business travelers, who appreciate the one-stop-shop convenience of these plans. Air India has been a market leader in this area, as the first airline in India to begin offering package tours based on the international success of this model.
