Northern India offers a number of attractive tourist destinations , and there are package tours in India which visit an area in the North called the Golden Triangle. The Golden Triangle tour begins in Delhi where guests stay overnight at a hotel. The next day they tour the city of New Delhi where they will visit the Qutab Minar, the President's Palace and the India Gate.

New Delhi features typical British colonial period architecture with lovely tree-lined avenues, the Vice Regal Palace, the War Memorial Arch and the Parliament House all notable attractions. The Vice Regal Palace is the official home of the President of India today. In Old Dehli guests will tour the Jama Masjid and see the location where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. A drive past the Red Fort offers a great photo opportunity as well.
